The LG600G is a value for money with many features that won’t be available in other Tracfone phones.
It’s a flip phone featuring a nice camera, Bluetooth and internet access. It also has an external screen besides the regular internal big screen. The $39 tag doesn’t seem to be a big problem as it’s perfectly reasonable. Also, it’s pretty compact and similar to Samsung T301g.
So let’s talk about its features in different sections.
- Flipper- the LG600g has got a small external screen along with its not so great average size internal screen. The outside screen shows some recent activity menus, missed calls, current date and time and text messages received recently. This screen comes in pretty handy for many.
- Screen- again the same problem as that with Samsung T301g occurs here. The screen angle comes as the biggest problem with this set. While looking straight on, the screen brightness is perfectly fine but at a certain incline, the user doesn’t have a clear picture.
- Camera- the VGA camera though isn’t the best detailed camera but provides nice pictures at least to be viewed in a computer or in the mobile itself. It can be opened even when the phone is closed by simply pressing on the camera button. Now, the best thing I like about this phone is that when it’s closed, the image comes on to the outside screen and the camera being on the same side as well gives you a chance to take your own image properly. The image has a resolution of 320*240.
- Bluetooth- the Bluetooth can be connected to any headset device and it can be even connected to a Bluetooth enabled computer very easily. The phone simply shows up as a folder when connected.
- Internet access- for all you internet users, this is a reasonably priced phone with easy access to internet but only to data servers from where you have bought the phone like Tracfone and not sites like Google.
- Ring tones- firstly, this set has a nice set of ring tones which can be played at a decent quality speaker and it also has a audio record facility available for use as a ring tone. But the only problem is that you can’t download one even though you have endless storage options.
- Games and messaging- one can kill boredom by playing 2 average games provided in this phone. Talking about messaging, it’s pretty much easy and simple with T9 entries making it simpler.
- Radio and battery life- to my disappointment, it doesn’t have FM radio but the battery life is quite good with a 6 hours talk time.
Overall this is a very good Tracfone phone from LG with many other features like alarm, voice mail, calculator, etc. and all these are mentioned in the user manual. So, I would say a nice option with that attractive glossy finish.
