Well, to begin with, the Samsung T101G is a Tracfone phone loaded with features but many of them being not so useful to the average user. Let’s have a look at the pros and cons of this Samsung model.
Something to cheer about:
- This model is currently available at a reasonable price of $15 on the Tracfone website.
- Now, the main point that why one would like o buy this phone is that it’s very lightweight, small in size and easy to handle. It’s lighter than many hyped around phones in the market.
- Many users want good ring tones in their phone and this phone provides them exactly that. I mean, though only 15 ring tones are available, the tunes are quite good to be the just above average phone.
- For some of you who like to be updated about the day today, the access to calendar is pretty much easy with the use of c button.
- An easy calculator provides relief to some.
- Converter function may bring smiles to many as it’s often used by many, be it related to currency or weights.
- Address book is also a good feature in this T101G but isn’t too good to impress many even though it has the different cell options for different persons address storage.
Well, you wouldn’t love this:
- No double minutes, so will not be as reasonable as you would have thought.
- The key locking feature isn’t very efficient as the keys don’t stay locked in a bag or a wallet.
- The biggest reason that anyone bys a phone is to talk to anyone and while you are with this model, you can never ever hear the other voice clearly. According to me, this is the biggest setback. Also, the voice level is too low.
- The keypad is extremely small with even smaller keys.
- A difficult to navigate menu and no games, yes no games, make it a further worse option.
- There are only 5 graphics options for one to use as screensaver.
- The battery life is really very poor compared to the price paid for the phone.
- The service period isn’t shown on the main screen but the no. of days left is shown inside.
Now coming to the point whether to buy this phone or not, then, what I suggest is that this not that good a phone when you have many other options available in the same price range. Also it doesn’t seem too attractive as well. Some other phones that I would suggest would be LG600G and Motorola W376g.
